Hello darlings!
I realise if there was such a thing, I'd have blog social services at my door for neglect (and my terrible title for this weeks post)! Hopefully my bedridden illness will get me off the hook!
To make up for the 2 week wait, I thought I'd share what I believe to be the 10 best beaches in Thailand and cram full of pictures, so here it goes....
10. Patong beach (Phuket)
This beach holds a special place in my heart because its where I did my teacher training, although not as beautiful as the rest, there are memories in the sand that make it special.

This was October 2015 during the 'Asian Haze' (Indonesian smoke has spread over to Thailand).

Always the most beautiful time of day, sunset.

9. Koh Larn
Aka - Coral Island - is uninhabited and just off of Pattaya (the world biggest red light district!). After spending Christmas day in a Buddhist school, we ran to Pattaya and rented a speed boat to take us to Koh Larn.

Sangria at high tide.

wasn't the worst boxing day!

8. Klong Khong beach (Koh Lanta)
Koh lanta is quiet, ideal for those looking for somewhere peaceful to relax, with lovely resorts on the beach front, the place lights up at night with restaurants and beach bars.

Fun place for a gallop it would seem haha!

7. Mae Haad (Koh Tao)
This is the beach where the ferry comes in to Koh Tao (Turtle Island) walking down to the left brings you to warm waters and soft sand with hammocks, swings and adorable thai kids wants to play volleyball in the super-salty sea!

But the real reason people love it here, is that its where you learn to scuba dive! For 8000bt (£180) you can qualify with PADI in just 3 days.

6. Maya Bay
Famous for been the set for the movie 'The Beach' tourists flock to Maya Bay for the Leonardo experience.
What your not told is that during low tide, there is so little to see. Arriving mid morning is best: to get 'The beach' experience you climb the rope ladder from your long-tail boat over the rocks.
Low tide: (apparently I still felt there was a risk of drowning)

High tide:

5. Freedom beach (Phuket)
It's a bit of a trek to get to this beach (literally) but taking a songtao (pick-up truck) down the dirt track then stumbling round tree's is well worth it.

However, if your going to do this after a rager of a night before, waking up drunk and only taking a cornetto may not be your best idea; the 1 bar / shop is only open during peak tourist season!

4. Ban Tai (Koh Phangan)
Its a shame this island is only known for its monthly 'full moon party', most travellers don't give the rest of the island a chance, and it is truly beautiful!

One of the hottest beaches I've been too, mainly because of the lack of shade with those tiny trees!

At low tide (early afternoon) you can even walk from the main island to the small uninhabited ones on the off skirts!

Which apparently I find hilarious!

Also, the sunset is pretty amazing, you can take oh-so-candid insta pics like this

3. Railay (Krabi)
Railay has to be reached by boat, it is a thin out-kick that is surrounded by limestone and forrest. A great place for caving and rock-climbing. It also is the only place I have seen the sun set into the centre of the ocean. By day you can watch fisherman and by night you can eat the red-snappers they caught by BBQ!

2. Ao nam mao (Krabi)
Maybe not as beautiful as other beaches, this is easily my favourite place on earth. Its silently still, waking up at 6am lets you see the sun rise and tide come in...

Breakfast can be eaten on the bamboo furniture with toes in the sand.

In the mornings, the sand is patterned from the tide leaving the night before.

Bare-back horse riding can be a lovely way to spend an afternoon (that I enjoyed from a distance, accompanied by my allergies).

Late afternoons are spent in hammocks with books.

Morning swims alone, not been able to see another soul, is an amazing feeling (but I don't have any pictures of that, so here's one of me realising I'm no good at 'sexy-beach-posing' instead).

There's beach front massages and ice-cold beers as the sun sets.

And sleeping in these awesome huts!

Whats not to love?!

1. Koh Phi Phi
Phi Phi has just made it to number one, for its breath taking views. It is a favourite amongst most travellers, known for its beach parties and fire dancers. Its pearly white sands, crystal clear waters and zero road transport, make it an experience like no other!

Hiring a long-tail boat can cost as little as 1000bt (£20) so getting further out into the ocean is a treat of the masses!

Plus you get to stay in these awesome beach front huts:

The water is warm, crystal clear and the sand beautifully white, making it the perfect place to take romantic photos with your single friends!

So there you have it, the 10 most beautiful beaches... rounded up nicely with model poses and stunning Samsung phone photography!
Maybe mermaid life is for me after all!
Until next week!
