Hello!
As many of you probably have noticed, I am slightly religious to going to a certain Bangkok pool party. So thought it's time I share my love with you...
Overlooking the 'Central Park of Bangkok', the So Sofitel Hotel stands tall, to the right of Lumpini Park, next to the underground station. The grand 4* hotel offers rooms at around 5000bt (£100) a night, but the last Saturday of the month it opens its doors to riffraff like us, and for 500bt (£10) you can party all night!
Arriving at the hotel you're greeted by a wonderful lemongrass scent,
Walking through the lobby, the elevators are in the centre of the building.
You're guided to the 7th floor by the mirrored elevator!
Walking around the building, past this amazing restaurant and up to the 10th floor.
Then into the locker room to get pool-party-appropriate.
Brings you to the pool party, greeted by this view!
Which will make you want to throw your hands up in the air!
Then get embarrassed....
Then remember, your not the type to get embarrassed!
(but are the type to look like you only have half a leg!)
Heading to the left brings you to the bar, where brand-name drinks are made to order.
2 of which are included in the ticket price! - Vodka lime please!
If your not ready to take a swim,
Or this guys tunes aren't to your taste,
You can walk through the building to the garden side!
Which has a temporary bar;
and seating areas!
Where you can take selfies
and laugh at the 100 bad ones you've taken!
Plus there's another pretty awesome view!
Then the sunsets and the night begins...
the drinks flow...
and the party pumps! (haha)
I dare say its the best way to spend a Saturday in Bangkok!
And it definitely beats how I spend the rest of the week!
This was actually my last weekend in Bangkok (weep!) as I will finish teaching on Wednesday and am going on holiday and taking a 2 week break from blogging. Not to worry though, the majority of you will have me bugging you in person in a matter of weeks!
